Ottoman Relics Tour (Half Day)

Overview

Half-day Ottoman Relics tour in Istanbul: Topkapi Palace with its Sacred Relics and the 6th-century Little Hagia Sophia Mosque, with pick-up from your hotel.

Begin the tour by visiting Topkapi Palace, which was the winter house of the Ottomans and was also used as military quarters in the Ottoman period. After visiting Topkapi Palace, drive to the Little Hagia Sophia Mosque, known as one of the oldest standing churches in Istanbul. At the end of the tour you will be taken back to your hotel.

Brief info about the sites: Topkapi Palace: the great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries, housing an exquisite collection of precious gems and jewellery, thrones of the sultans, robes worn by the sultans and their families, miniatures, the Holy Mantle and the Chamber of Sacred Relics (the Harem is not included in the program and is visited for an extra entrance fee). Little Hagia Sophia Mosque: known as one of the oldest standing churches in Istanbul, dating back to the 6th century; the early domed-basilica plan of the famous Hagia Sophia was applied here for the first time in history.
